The letter stated that the appellant had opted to settle the tax dispute under the Vivad Se Vishwas Scheme, 2020. A certificate under Section 5(1) of The Direct Tax Vivad Se Vishwas Act, 2020, confirming the settlement, was also filed.
The appellant’s request for withdrawal of the appeal was based on the settlement of the tax dispute under the Vivad Se Vishwas Scheme, 2020. The Senior Departmental Representative (DR), Shri M. Baranwal, had no objection to this request.
In light of the appellant’s request and the non-objection from the Senior DR, the Tribunal accepted the request for withdrawal of the appeal. Consequently, the appeal filed by Noorjahan Saund was dismissed.
The Tribunal dismissed the appeal based on the appellant’s decision to settle the tax dispute under the Vivad Se Vishwas Scheme, 2020. The final order was pronounced on 19th February 2021 by Shri R.K. Panda, Accountant Member, and Shri K.N. Chary, Judicial Member.
