This appeal filed by the assessee is directed against the order dated 07.12.2018 passed by the Ld. CIT(A)-20 New Delhi relating to assessment year 2015-16.
The assessee, Rohit Gupta (HUF), resides at C-6, Brahma Apartments, Plot No. 7, Sector-7, Dwarka, New Delhi. The PAN of the appellant is AAHHR0545L. The case was filed against the Income Tax Officer, Ward-43(5), New Delhi.
The counsel for the assessee, Shri Girish Agarwal, Advocate, submitted an application dated 19.03.2021 requesting the withdrawal of the appeal. The request was made on the grounds that the assessee had opted to settle the dispute relating to the tax arrears for the assessment year 2015-16 under the Vivad Se Vishwas Scheme, 2020. A certificate to this effect in Form No. 3 had already been obtained.
Shri Vijay Kumar Kataria, Senior DR, representing the Department, had no objection to the withdrawal of the appeal.
In view of the above, the request of the assessee for withdrawal of the appeal was accepted, and the appeal was dismissed as withdrawn.
In the result, the appeal of the assessee is dismissed.
